Kaleidoscope Kids is a registered charity that provides programs for children and youth ages 4-12 in East Toronto.  We also provide leadership programs for teens and will be developing regular programs for teens in the future.  Our main program space is conveniently located at the Danforth Church, close to the subway and several parks and schools.

Our Programs

We offer day camps during the summer and school breaks, as well as clubs and classes during the school year.  We strive to make our programs innovative and interactive, educational and interesting.  We also aim to break down barriers by opening our programs to children and youth from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, keeping our program fees affordable and offering subsidies to those who need them.  We believe that all children and youth are at-risk without positive and constructive ways of occupying their time.  We work to be proactive, rather than reactive.

Create

Kaleidoscope Kids incorporates the creative and performing arts into all of its programs, and will further develop programs for children and youth in the areas of creative, performing and media arts.  Some of our projects include community murals, video making, and music and theatre workshops.

Develop

We love sports and games, and teaching good sportsmanship, co-operation and teamwork.  We offer opportunities for non-competitive games, but also encourage healthy competition.  We also want to expose our kids to games and sports they might not already know, like curling, lacrosse, bowling and other international games.  We encourage healthy living and activity as much as possible.

Explore

Curiosity can be a wonderful thing.  We also have our kids participate in community outreach activities, plant gardens, learn about the world, and find out where things comes from.  We take our kids around the city and sometimes outside the city.  We love to build, take apart, examine and learn.  We want our kids to be environmentally friendly and socially conscious.
